Which player groups are genuinely better as a package? For every duo, trio, quartet and five-man unit of active players, we compare the group’s 5v5 net expected-goal rate with the whole group on the ice against each member’s rate in his other minutes (same seasons only, so a line is never compared with a member’s younger self; per-season xG rates are scaled to a common era). A group is listed only when every member is better with the full group than apart. Lift is the together-minus-apart net xG per 60; Lift × min converts it to total expected goals over the group’s together minutes — the ranking metric. Minimum together time: 150 min (duos), 100 (trios), 60 (quartets), 40 (five-man units). Click a column header to sort — each table shows the top 50 by the chosen column. Chemistry is real but modestly persistent year over year — read these as what happened, not a guarantee.
